Sport at Westonbirt
Sport plays a highly important role in the life of Westonbirt School. The recent significant growth of the school and the move to co-ed has considerably broadened the opportunities for individual and team sporting activity here, with multiple teams competing in each year for each sport. We punch well above our weight for a medium-sized school.
We are ambitious for all our athletes, but the role of sport extends far beyond results. Training focuses on the holistic development of the player, combining learning and refining the core skills alongside developing the values that sport brings: resilience, independence, teamwork, sportsmanship, courage and work ethic.
