Westonbirt Nursery welcomes children aged 2 to 4 years old. We are open year-round from 8am-6pm, providing families with affordable, high-quality learning and experiences for their little ones. The nursery year runs from September to August. We accept pupils for either term-time only places or for year-round places.
We offer a number of sessions each day:
We request half a term’s notice (8 weeks) for any session changes. Any changes are at the discretion of the Head of Nursery and are reliant on spaces being available. Ad-hoc sessions may be booked with the Head of Nursery, however, last-minute requests may not be granted if we do not have space within our adult: child ratios, so please let us know in plenty of time.
As well as bank holidays, the nursery is closed for five staff training days each year. These dates are communicated well in advance.

A non-refundable Registration Fee of £100 is payable to register a place at our nursery.
We require a minimum attendance of 2 full days per week to join the nursery.
Our fees include all food and consumables required to support our provision. Children staying until 6pm will be provided with supper.
We also offer a wide range of activities during the nursery week; these are all included in the session rates where these are paid.
Please view our full nursery fees information here: NURSERY FEES
Please note that persistent late collections will result in a charge.
We regret that we are unable to reimburse or cancel sessions should you be away from the nursery on holiday.
We accept up to 15 hours’ free childcare entitlement per week for up to 38 weeks of the year. For those registered for a term-time only place, we offer 15 hours per week for the total weeks attended. Those registered for a year-round place will receive their free hours pro-rated over the three funding periods (1 Sept – 31 Dec, 1 Jan – 31 Mar, 1 Apr – 31 Aug).
15 hours can be taken across any 2 days, subject to availability. Requested additional hours will be billed termly in advance.
As a provider, we cannot apply funding to any child until the term after their 2nd birthday. Although a child may currently be receiving funding at another nursery for children aged between 9–23 months, we are unable to offer this provision, as we do not accept children under the age of 2.
Funding at our setting can only be offered from the term after a child’s 2nd or 3rd birthday, in accordance with government funding criteria.
If using free childcare entitlement, you will be asked to pay towards the cost of food and additional consumables, and for some activities where funding does not meet the cost.
Contact our Admissions Team to book a visit or taster session, or join us for our next Open Morning. This is an excellent opportunity to talk to the dedicated nursery staff about our ethos and educational provision and discuss how our flexible morning and afternoon sessions can best meet your needs.
