Senior Netball

Who Participates: Year 7-13 Girls. We have 18 teams across the Schools from U12 through to the Senior 1^st VII.

Term(s) Offered:  Autumn and Spring Term

What’s offered: Every year group gets a double lesson of Netball every week, plus lunch and after-school clubs.

History at Westonbirt: Netball has been played at Westonbirt for many years. When the sport started, the school has quite small numerous year groups were combined together to field a team.

Facilities: There are six netball courts in total. This includes one court at the leisure centre in the sports hall and then five outdoor netball courts (three courts are under floodlights).

Achievements: The netball programme at Westonbirt is extremely popular with the pupils. There are players many fixtures against other schools across Avon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Compete in the Gloucestershire county tournaments at U14 and U16 and also compete at national level in the ISA championships at U13 and U16. In 2022 the U13s team was placed in the top 15 schools in the country.
