What are the aims of the course?

Geography helps students understand how our world works, physically, socially, economically, and politically. The course explores key global issues such as climate change, urbanisation, resource use, and inequality, while also examining how these impact people and places at a local level. Students will consider processes and patterns over space and time, developing an understanding
of how places change. Along the way, students build valuable skills in analysis, evaluation, decision-making, data interpretation, and extended writing, essential for university and beyond.

Are there any specific entry requirements?

Students must have a Grade 6 or above in GCSE geography. It is also advised to have at least a Grade 6 in both maths and English, as the course involves data interpretation, extended writing, and critical analysis.
