Westonbirt welcomes new Head of Nursery
12th January 2026
Westonbirt School is delighted to welcome Jeanette Phillips-Green to the new position of Head of Nursery.
Jeanette began her role just before Christmas and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of Westonbirt Nursery.
Jeanette has worked in education and Early Years settings for more than 20 years, serving in leadership roles in a wide variety of organisations throughout the education sector both in the UK and internationally, including schools, nurseries, local authorities, and SEND specialist providers.
A highly experienced and accomplished Headteacher, Early Years Specialist and Senior Education Consultant, Jeanette has a proven track record of driving school improvement in diverse educational settings. She has expertise in strategic leadership, curriculum development (including EYFS), governance support, and quality assurance.
Jeanette Phillips-Green said: “I am absolutely delighted to join Westonbirt as Head of Nursery and am thrilled to join this wonderful community and lead our youngest learners through these vital formative years.
“My career has been dedicated to educational excellence, and I have a deep-seated passion for Early Years education. My background is rooted in a commitment to inclusive, developmentally appropriate practice, ensuring that every child receives the bespoke support they need to thrive. As an advocate for lifelong learning, my goal is to foster an environment where children feel safe, inspired and empowered to explore the world around them.
“I am truly excited for the future of Westonbirt Nursery and look forward to working closely with all of our families to support your child’s unique journey.”
Jeanette’s arrival is the latest exciting development at Westonbirt Nursery following the completion of an extensive refurbishment last year.
Renovations included the purchase of new furniture and play equipment, interior decoration in classrooms and communal spaces, and the complete redesign of outdoor learning and play spaces.
Changes to the learning structure mean nursery children also now benefit from activities with specialist teachers in Swimming, Games, Music, French and Forest School.
