Westonbirt Flower Show Success for Sixth Form Business Students
30th September 2025
This year’s Westonbirt Flower Show was a wonderful success, with the school and local community coming together for a sunny day of celebration.
Our Year 13 Business students organised the event, which featured over 30 local stalls, children’s games, a classic car display, live music, a community choir and student performances. Working as a team, the students created a family-friendly day that raised £750 for Back Up, a charity supporting people whose lives have been transformed by spinal cord injury.
The project gave Sixth Formers a chance to apply what they’ve learned in Business Studies, putting their knowledge of planning, marketing and event management into practice on a real community event.
Naomi Catley, Teacher of Business, said:
“It was a fantastic day, the sun was shining and we are all so proud of the students. Their teamwork and huge efforts really paid off. It’s a great experience for them that provides them with great examples for interviews and personal statements, as well as contributing to their business course units.“
The flower show had something for everyone, from local businesses and cafés to raffles and children’s activities. The classic car display was particularly popular, rounding off a memorable day that captured the Westonbirt spirit.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event – we can’t wait to see what next year’s Business students come up with!
