Sixth Form boarding is offered across full, weekly and flexi-options. Year 12 boarders reside in individual study-style bedrooms, whilst Year 13s stay offsite in a co-educational boarding house located in Tetbury; this is a very popular option and provides a bridge between school and university.
Inclusion and engagement in a diverse and often conflicted world means that students must be prepared to compete and live compassionately. We focus on developing respect and understanding for people from all backgrounds and communities, offering students a hugely varied curriculum in and out of the classroom. Mental health continues to be a pressing issue amongst young people and our approach focuses on wellbeing, mindfulness, management of stress and exam anxiety as well as achieving a better work-life balance.
Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) is delivered through partnerships between the school and external providers. Students meet their CEIAG tutor weekly, to discuss post-18 options such as higher education, apprenticeships and job search. We run business networking events, university visits and alternative path days; use platforms such as ‘Unifrog,’ bring external speakers in, and also offer specific Oxbridge advice.
