Transition to Reception
For some children, the transition to starting school can be daunting, so a lot of time is spent with the Reception Class to graduate this move. In the summer term, a series of ‘moving up’ sessions are held where children gradually get to know their new teachers and the classroom.
Nursery children play an active role in many prep school events such as the swimming gala, sports day, the Harvest Festival and the Nativity play, making the transition from Nursery to Prep School a natural progression.
