Be a UK host student at Westonbirt Summer School

 

6–31 July 2026, weekdays

 

Sign your child up for an enriching summer experience with international students at Westonbirt Summer School! Pupils from Years 5-12 will join students from more than 15 different countries, helping to support their English-language skills, as well as having the chance to take part in projects and afternoon activities, including sports, arts and excursions.

Pupils from Year 5 to Year 10 can be Host Students, and:

  • enjoy a fun intercultural experience without leaving the UK
  • make lots of international friends
  • take part in exciting activities and excursions
  • develop their confidence as leaders, representing their school.

Students in Year 11 & Year 12 can participate as Ambassadors:

  • taking on additional responsibilities in guiding international students
  • mentoring younger hosts
  • assisting staff in delivering sessions, further improving their leadership skills
  • gain valuable experience that you can use on your CV or as volunteering work with DofE

 

 

What is included?

  • Teacher-led Integration Projects (Team Project Challenges for all ages)
  • Multi-activity programme, including a variety of sports such as, Basketball, Swimming, Football, Touch Rugby, Badminton, Kwik cricket, Arts and crafts, Water polo, Softball, Rounders and Volleyball – find out more here
  • Half-day Wednesday excursions to Westonbirt Arboretum, Bath, Bristol and Cotswold Water Park
  • Lunch, snacks and dinner
  • Evening activity programme, including discos, talent shows, escape rooms, film nights and quiz nights

Dates and prices

  • 6–31 July 2026, 12pm – 9pm* on weekdays (or from 9am with add-ons)
  • Weekly bookings only
  • £150 per week for students in Year 5-Year 10
  • Free for students in Year 11-Year 12 attending as Ambassadors

*earlier pick-up is possible, subject to prior arrangement.

Morning add-on options

You can now also add:

  • Morning academic sessions for your child (AI and Future Technologies or Leadership/Adventure programmes) – additional £150 per week
  • Discover Activity Camps for pupils up to the age of 14 – additional £50 per week
