What are the aims of the course?
A Level psychology empowers students to explain behaviour through evidence, not opinion. Learn how memory works, why people conform, how the brain drives behaviour, and how mental health is understood and treated. Master research design, data analysis and evaluation, crafting clear, balanced arguments with strong written communication. The course builds ethical awareness, cultural sensitivity and scientific literacy so you can question claims, make informed decisions and apply psychological thinking to everyday life, further study and future careers.
Are there any specific entry requirements?
We recommend students achieve a Grade 6 in GCSE English language and mathematics; a Grade 5 in biology or combined science is also strongly recommended. A solid work ethic, regular reading and clear written expression are essential.
