For students who excel across the curriculum and demonstrate intellectual curiosity
At Westonbirt, we celebrate potential in all its forms. Our scholarship programmes are designed to recognise and nurture students who show exceptional talent and passion across academics, art, music, drama and sport, whilst our bursaries ensure that a Westonbirt education is accessible to families who need financial support.
External applicants must register with the school before submitting their scholarship application.

Successful scholarship candidates receive a fee reduction, with the amount determined individually based on each student’s circumstances and achievement. Beyond the financial award, scholarships offer additional benefits and carefully tailored development opportunities related to the area of specialism. We believe our scholars benefit the school greatly, and that the sky is the limit for those with ambition and aspiration.
While scholarships are highly competitive, students who show exceptional promise may be invited to join our Performance Pathway, a development programme designed to help you grow and excel in your chosen field.
The Performance Pathway offers tailored support and enrichment in your discipline, whether academics, music, drama, art or sport, helping you thrive through dedicated mentoring, expert coaching and unique opportunities for growth.
Westonbirt Schools offer means tested bursaries to families where a child would significantly benefit from a Westonbirt education and there is a genuine financial need. Applications are assessed by a panel including the Head and Finance Director. Bursaries are awarded to support families facing challenging circumstances, to enable deserving pupils to thrive, and to widen access to independent education. Bursaries are primarily for the senior school, with prep school awards considered only in exceptional cases.
Bursaries typically range from 10% to 40% of day fees, with up to 100% considered only in exceptional circumstances. Awards are limited and not all eligible applicants will be successful. To enquire about a bursary please email admissions@westonbirtschool.uk.
