Westonbirt Sixth Form Step-up to Sixth Form Day and Information Evening

We’re delighted that you are considering attending one of our upcoming sixth form events.
These take place on Wednesday 12th March and you are warmly invited to sign up for either or both events.

Step-up to Sixth Form Day – Wednesday 12th March 2025

Our Step-up to Sixth Form Day starts at 8.15am, just like a normal school day, and finishes at 4.30pm, with the option of staying for anyone who wishes to participate in a social tea.  Join both current Westonbirt Year 11s who are staying on for sixth form, as well as others intending to join Year 12; an exciting opportunity to meet future friends and peers, as well as teaching staff.  You will experience at least four taster sessions, as well as the opportunity to undertake a tour of the school with a current sixth former, or enjoy the study spaces and find out more about what a day in the life of a sixth former is like.

Parents are invited to join for the afternoon tea at 4.30pm, before picking their child/children up.

Sixth Form Information Evening – Wednesday 12th March

Our Information Evening is for both Year 11s and parents. It commences at 4.30pm, starting with an afternoon tea, where you will have the chance to meet school staff and other prospective Year 12s and their families. This will be followed by the opportunity to talk to teaching staff about study options, and hear a presentation about our Sixth Form.

This event is for you if:

    • You have not attended a school event before or are a new enquirer
    • You have already attended a previous event (e.g. general Open Morning or Sixth Form Open Evening) but are undecided and would like another opportunity to engage with the school.

 

Parents are invited to join for the afternoon tea at 4.30pm, before picking their child/children up.

Open Morning – Saturday 22nd March

If you are unable to attend either of the above events, then why not sign up for our next Open Morning?

This takes place on Saturday 22nd March from 9am.

Experience life at Westonbirt Senior School through the eyes of our students, who will provide a tour of our estate rooms, teaching spaces and sports facilities. Boarding tours are also available. Find out more about the school during an informative presentation from Head Natasha Dangerfield.  Meet teachers from all subjects and take part in practical activities. Support and admissions staff will be available for advice and Q&A sessions. Additionally, guests can enjoy a selection of refreshments in our pop-up café.

If you are unable to attend the Step-up to Sixth Form Day, you can also book to attend a taster session on a day of your choosing.
