These fun, hands-on workshops are for current Year 4 pupils and taught by subject experts in dedicated facilities, and encourage children to think creatively, solve problems, and explore new ideas in a supportive and engaging environment.
Perfect for curious minds who love to ask questions and think outside the box, these workshops will help children unlock their full potential and celebrate their unique talents.
A day of exciting activities and challenges to stretch and inspire children who are eager to push their learning further!

Discovery takes centre stage in the Curious Minds Hub Science Workshop, where young minds become hands-on explorers of the world around them. Through exciting experiments and problem-solving challenges, children will investigate scientific concepts, ask big questions, and learn to think like real scientists. From making predictions to testing ideas and drawing conclusions, they’ll build critical thinking skills, teamwork, and a lifelong love of discovery.
The Curious Minds Hub Art Workshop is a vibrant space where imagination meets technique. Children will experiment with colour, texture, and form as they explore different artistic styles and materials. From expressive mark-making to collaborative creations, pupils will develop visual storytelling skills, learn to observe and interpret the world around them, and gain confidence in their creative choices, all while having fun and making a glorious mess!
The Curious Minds Hub Maths Workshop transforms numbers into adventure! Designed as a challenge-based experience, pupils will tackle logic puzzles, mathematical mysteries, and real-world problem-solving tasks that stretch their thinking and spark curiosity. As they collaborate and compete, children will build resilience, strategic reasoning, and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, all while discovering that maths is not just about answers, but about bold ideas and clever thinking.
Step into a world where words come alive! Our very first Curious Minds Hub Workshop focused on Creative Writing and was a celebration of storytelling, imagination, and expressive language.
Named The Imagination Emporium the workshop was inspired by children’s book The Nowhere Emporium by Ross MacKenzie and led by our Head of English, Miss Mole. From the moment they arrived, the children eagerly dived straight into their activities, entering their classroom which had been transformed into a magical emporium filled with mystery objects to the sound of atmospheric music and dimmed lighting.
Learning activities were centred around helping the children establish ideas to help them create an exciting new magical world before drawing all their ideas together to write a short story entitled Welcome to My Imagination Emporium.
“I loved coming to the Curious Minds Hub workshop and was so happy to have this experience. I loved getting inspiration from all of the items in the Imagination Emporium, coming up with ideas and writing it all down.”

“I really enjoyed the workshop because all of the staff were kind and friendly. They gave me gluten-free food especially, and there were lots of fun activities. I loved visiting the emporium and writing the story at the end.”
Seren
“Curious Minds Hub was a brilliant day because all of the activities were so much fun. I really enjoyed trying to find the paper in the Italian Gardens and then learning about the Russian dolls.”
