Whether you are here taking your first steps in finding a happy and nurturing Reception class marked by days full of adventure and learning; or you have a child who is moving from another school, and you need to know they will find somewhere they make friends and settle quickly, we are here to support you throughout the admissions process.
You can make an enquiry by using the link to the online form, emailing or calling us. Once we have received your enquiry, we will be in touch to find out a bit more about you and your child, and to start to get an idea of what is important to you, and what you are looking for in a school.
We will arrange for you to have a personal visit at a time convenient for you. You will meet and talk to our Headmistress, Mrs Rebecca Mitchell, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions and learn more about Mrs Mitchell’s educational ethos and vision for Westonbirt Prep. You will have a tour of  our lovely school accompanied by our extremely knowledgeable Head of Prep Admissions Lauren Harmon.
We also hold regular Open Mornings, and special events, such as our Teddy Bears’ Adventure, just for our younger children. You can come along to an event at any point in the admissions process.
Next we will invite your child to come for two consecutive taster days. We want to ensure they have the best possible experience, so we will share the school timetable with you, allowing you make sure they have an opportunity to experience subjects they will enjoy most. We will let you know anything your child needs to bring and who their buddy for the day will be. At the end of the second day, you will be invited to meet Mrs Mitchell again, so that she can talk about how your child got on.
If we are happy that we are able to give your child the educational experience they need, at this point we will ask you to fill in a Registration Form and pay a Registration Fee.
Once your Registration Form is received, we will make a formal offer, and send you all the additional forms you need to fill in, including Acceptance and Medical Forms. At this point, you will be required to pay a deposit.
We can’t wait to welcome your child to their first day at Westonbirt Prep. If there is some time to go before your child joins us, we will be in touch regularly, and you will be invited to any events or social occasions, where there will be opportunities to meet your child’s future Form Tutor and other parents in their year group.
