Westonbirt School expands partnership with Beaufort Polo Club and seeks Team Manager for next phase of growth
16th July
A thriving partnership between Westonbirt School and its near neighbour, Beaufort Polo Club, is creating exciting new opportunities for the next generation of polo players. Together, the two organisations have developed a distinctive polo pathway that combines outstanding educational opportunities with access to one of the world’s most respected polo clubs. As the programme enters an ambitious new phase, Westonbirt is seeking to appoint a talented and entrepreneurial Polo Team Manager to oversee its development and help establish the school as a destination for young polo players.
Located just a short walk from the school, Beaufort Polo Club offers world-class facilities, expert coaching and the chance to compete within one of the UK’s most prestigious polo communities. Working across both strategic development and delivery, the Polo Team Manager will lead the expansion of a range of programmes, including the Westonbirt Polo Academy, an elite player development pathway delivered in partnership with Beaufort.
Initially, the role will focus on growing participation, strengthening partnerships, promoting the programme and developing Westonbirt’s summer school and holiday offerings. Over time, as participation increases, the successful candidate will assume greater responsibility for the operational delivery, player development, fixtures and tournaments. They will combine a passion for polo and youth development with the vision, leadership and relationship-building skills needed to further enhance Westonbirt’s reputation for excellence in the sport.
This appointment forms part of a significant investment in Westonbirt’s equestrian and polo offering, broadening opportunities for pupils through partnerships with world-class organisations, including Beaufort Polo Club.
Drawing on the expertise and experience of outstanding practitioners is central to Westonbirt’s educational approach. Set within 210 acres of beautiful Cotswold parkland, pupils are inspired and encouraged by subject specialists who help them discover and develop the talents and interests that motivate them to achieve their full potential. Alongside academic excellence and exceptional pastoral care, pupils benefit from an outstanding breadth of opportunities designed to help them grow in confidence, develop their talents and pursue their ambitions.
Westonbirt’s continued investment in equestrian and polo programmes is a natural extension of this philosophy, creating distinctive opportunities for young people to pursue their passions and experience all that a Westonbirt education has to offer.
Applications are now open for this exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of the UK’s most distinctive school polo programmes.
Applications close on Friday 7 August.
