Westonbirt Sixth Form offers the perfect balance between supporting you to reach your full potential and preparing you for life beyond Post-16. Our Sixth Form students enjoy their own communal common room, dedicated study spaces, and a café/bar called ‘The Hound’ – as well as access to our 25-metre pool, fitness suite and a 9-hole golf course.
Throughout the year, there are plenty of social events, including candlelit dinners and a Leavers’ Ball, giving you wonderful opportunities to relax and celebrate with your peers.
We offer a broad curriculum which allows students to build a bespoke programme of study. Class sizes are small, and you’ll work closely with specialist teachers, supporting you to achieve your best, academically and holistically. Every student benefits from weekly tutoring sessions, which can support your decision making and help you discover your next steps as you prepare for life beyond Sixth Form.
Alongside your academic studies, you’ll engage in a specialist programme designed to hone your soft skills and build leadership qualities. Whether you take part in the Combined Cadet Force, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, or join one of our global programmes, you’ll be developing valuable skills. Th ese international opportunities also help to build confidence, adaptability and initiative. Recent trips include working in a children’s centre in Southern India, trekking to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal, and supporting northern white rhino conservation in Kenya.

In Sixth Form, students can board in university-style accommodation that balances comfort with an introduction to independent living. Boarding life helps pupils to grow in independence, developing key skills such as time management, cooking and organising their own study, while building lasting friendships and being part of a supportive community.
Holford House is our dedicated co-educational Sixth Form boarding residence, set in the nearby Cotswold town of Tetbury. With 30 ensuite study bedrooms, a dining room, kitchen, nine acres of gardens and a spacious common room, it offers the perfect environment for fostering friendships, independence and essential life skills such as time management, cooking and personal study.
