What are the aims of the course?

This thought-provoking course challenges students to explore life’s biggest questions: Does God exist? What is truth? How should we live? Students develop analytical and evaluative skills, confidence in debating complex ideas, and the ability to think independently and write persuasively. With passionate, expert teachers and excellent resources, students gain a deeper understanding of philosophy, ethics, and theology. Alongside deep subject knowledge, students also build valuable skills for university and beyond: critical thinking, essay writing, argument analysis, and independent learning – all in a supportive, inspiring environment.

Are there any specific entry requirements?

We recommend a Grade 6 or above in GCSE religious studies (or English if RS was not studied). However, more importantly, we are looking for students with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in big ideas and ethical challenges. Motivation and a willingness to think deeply are key.
