What are the aims of the course?

Students will learn to solve complex problems, using knowledge of the structure of the atom and, based on this, how atoms and matter interact with each other and the physical environment around us. Students will learn to recognise patterns in data and make informed predictions about a range of chemical and physical properties and the reactions of different materials.

Are there any specific entry requirements?

Students will need to achieve a minimum of a Grade 6 at GCSE/ iGCSE chemistry, or 66 double award science, as well as a Grade 6 in maths to study chemistry at A Level.
