On Friday 20th March (10am-11.30am), we are holding a Stay & Play Morning for children currently aged 3 or 4 – and their parents – who are due to start school in Reception in September 2026 and are interested in joining or have already registered for Westonbirt Prep.
At Westonbirt Prep, the serious business of learning is transformed by fun, imagination and creativity. Join us for a morning of Westonbirt magic, and experience it for yourself. Take part in lots of brilliant hands-on, spring-themed learning activities and brush up your language skills with a short parent-and-child French session, led by our talented specialist teacher, Madame Shepheard.
After all that hard work and play, we invited you to relax with a coffee, while the little ones tuck in to a delicious, spring-themed treat! Come along and discover what a happy and unique experience your child could have at Westonbirt Prep. We look forward to welcoming you!

Back in October, we were thrilled to welcome families for a morning of learning and discovery at our amazing Teddy Bears Adventure! With their teddy bears and wellington boots at the ready, little ones (and their parents) joined us for lots of brilliant autumn-themed hands-on learning activities in our amazing Forest School – an important and inspiring part of the Westonbirt Pre-Prep curriculum.
In December lots of jolly little elves joined us for a morning of Christmas magic at our Magical Christmas Workshop, taking part in lots of fun festive-themed activities and arts and crafts, to help Father Christmas tick off his list ahead of the big day!
Working in two small classes, every child is nurtured and supported to find their own strengths and interests, and achieve their own potential. Class sizes across Westonbirt Prep are typically 16, with Reception classes often smaller. Learning in Reception is play-based, which means that the transition from nursery to school is smooth and reassuring. A high adult-to-child ratio gives us the time and space to tailor the education to your child, discovering how they learn, and giving them the very best start to their educational journey. Our enhanced Early Years curriculum is enriched by weekly specialist teaching in French, Music, PE, Games, Forest School and Swimming, ensuring children develop key skills of curiosity and independence, while also having lots of fun!
