Welcome to Westonbirt School, where students form friends and international connections. We pride ourselves on inspiring students to become the best version of themselves and develop lifelong skills along the way.

We are a co-ed independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2 to 18 years, located in the Cotswolds, 90 minutes from London. Here you will find an inspired community, set within 210 acres of parkland grounds and a breathtaking mansion. Boarding at Westonbirt

Westonbirt enjoys a rich boarding heritage and vibrant boarding community that benefits day students and boarders alike. Full, flexi, and weekly boarding is available. Following the successful launch of boys’ boarding in 2021 and growth within our boarding community, we are offering additional boarding houses for girls and boys from September 2022, along with a newly refurbished off-site Year 13 Boarding House. Boarders enjoy a full programme of evening and weekend activities and access to our fully equipped fitness suite, swimming pool and 9-hole golf course.

Westonbirt Nursery

Through free play, formal learning and great outdoor experiences, we encourage creativity, curiosity, confidence and fun – as well as a lifelong love for learning and exploring. Our core programme is supplemented by a range of exciting and dynamic extra-curricular activities that are led by specialist teachers including swimming, Forest School and dance.

Westonbirt Prep

Westonbirt Prep offers co-ed learning from 2 to 11 years. Immersed in a culture that promotes a love of learning, children are encouraged to be curious, creative and courageous. Set within 210 acres of parkland grounds, pupils benefit from an abundance of outdoor space and the specialist teaching and facilities of a much larger school.

With an individualised provision that caters for a diverse range of characters, interests and skills, academic achievement is high and pupils move on from Year 6 to Westonbirt School and other top independent and grammar schools.

Westonbirt Sixth Form

Westonbirt offers a wide range of subject and qualifications in the Sixth Form, including A levels, BTECs, Leiths, EPQ and more. Students can tailor a bespoke programme of study to their individual skills and aspirations.

Class sizes are small and specialist teachers work extremely closely with students, getting to know pupils individually and helping them achieve their very best academically. 90% of students in 2020 and 2021 were accepted by their first-choice university, going on to study subjects including Medicine, Law, Architecture, Drama, Sports Science, Veterinary Medicine and more.
