Congratulations to Mrs Shea who completed the virtual London Marathon last weekend. She was running in aid of Goodwill Children's Homes, which is one of our school's partner charities overseas, based in Tamil Nadu, India. The children supported by the charity face extremely difficult lives and this has only been exacerbated by the global pandemic. India is still reporting an alarming number of new cases every day and has to date recorded the second highest number of cases in the world (over 5 million) with 88,000+ deaths.
Speaking about her experience, Mrs Shea said ' It was a very soggy and cold day but so great to be outside spotting lots of other (slightly mad) fellow runners wearing their London Marathon bibs. I was very tired, running with gritted teeth to keep going by the end, but happy with an unexpected PB time!'
